毛布に入って昼寝していたり、水辺を走り周っていたり、のんびりと暮らしています。
エサやりの時間に観覧すると、魚を食べるミンクを見れます。

地下には日本初の「水中観察ゾーン」があり、千歳川の中に設置されています。
タイミングが良ければ、秋には海から遡上してくるサケ、春になると海へ出ていくサケの稚魚、などの珍しい様子を見れることがあります。
